Why Plants Show Different Colors?





Nature has created Colorful Plants, a variety of animals, High mountains, Fertile Plains, Flowing rivers (perennial Rivers), and vast Deserts only for the comfort of the man.

When the man feeling gloomy have a look at the color-full flowers, sitting on a chair in front of his home. as he sees, the beautiful spring flowers, he finds himself in a magical world, where everything is full of happiness which takes all worries of man for a while.

have you ever asked your self,why plants show different colors, if not then don't worry we tell you, why different colors appear in the Plants?


The answer to Question is  

Plants show different colors due to the presence of various Cytoplasmic Organelles called Plastids. which includes Chloroplasts, Chromoplasts Grentoplasts, and leucoplasts, etc. Due to the presence of these Plastids, the different colors appear in Plants such as Green, Red, Yellow, White, Orange, Purple and Blue, etc.


Green Colour

the Plants are seamed green due to the presence of a Special Plastids called Chloroplast, which is present in the Most exposed parts of Plant such as leaves, Shoots of the plant.

the Chloroplast contains chlorophyll (Green Substance), in which plant prepares its food called carbohydrates.

At day time in the presence of Sunlight, the Plants make their food using Carbon dioxide from the sphere and water from Soil, using sunlight, the Process is known is Photosynthesis.

Why Plants appears in different Colours

 Red, Yellow, Blue, white and many other colors due to the presence of Chromoplasts.

Plants show green color due to the presence of Chloro Plastics 


The Chloroplasts are Green Plastids.

The chloroplasts are present in those parts of plants that are exposed to the light, Green parts of plant especially in leaves - it occurs in great numbers.

The chloroplasts are Scattered in the cytoplasm and they contain green plant pigment called Chlorophyll.

The chloroplasts manufacture food material in the presence of sunlight with the help of CO2 and Water.

The chloroplasts contain own DNA and RNA

RED, YELLOW, BLUE, WHITE AND OTHER COLORS 




The Chromoplasts are Colored Plastids which are mostly present in the Petals of Flowers and fruits.
Due to the presence of Plastids, the petals of flowers become Showy and Attractive to insects for pollination. The Plastids maybe Yellow, Orange or Red because of the presence of Xanthophyll (yellow) and Carotene (orange-red).  They also show other colors.
